On Top of the World
Ascension Experience:
Ascension means to rise up. An ascension experience is a period of time
in which you rose to a higher state. An ascension is a time when you
felt huge and powerful, on top of the world. Things turned out the way
you wanted, life fitted like a glove. You were being your true self,
you felt expanded and peaceful.
There are various degrees of ascension experiences.
They range from from a victory in life (for example a starting a successful
business) to a sense of total oneness with the universe in which extraordinary
perceptions and abilities turn on. There are reports of ascension experiences
in which people develop extrasensory perception. In this state they
are acutely aware of every object in their environment. They decribe
this state as at one with the universe.
Have you ever taken drugs or alcohol and felt the
inhibitors and restraints dropping away? Your personality flowed forth,
you felt witty, you felt good, you felt alive, you felt powerful (it
is these soaring feelings of wellness that lie behind addiction). Yet
when you sobered up or came off the drugs, you sank back into your cocoon
of inhibitors and restraints.
In major ascension experiences you develop control
over the physical universe. By that I mean time and space are no longer
fixed, rigid rules. You can play with them. Stretch them , contract
them. You can see professional athletes doing this in sports such as
American Football (Some quarterbacks seem to have all the time in the
world to throw the touchdown pass, some wide receivers float through
the air to catch the impossible catch. Jerry Rice is a good example
of this.)
Ever been to a motivational type seminar and feeling
high, motivated, confident? Ever had a near death experience? Ever had
a time in your life when everything went right?
Seminars, workshops, therapy, accidents, near-death
experiences, violent trauma, a huge win, being 'born again', the coming
together of knowledge, an awareness of self as a spiritual being, etc.
are all phenomena that can cause a high. That high is an ascension experience.
Ascension states have been known about and sought
after for thousands of years. And they have many names - Satori, Enlightenment,
Breakthrough, Feeling High, Peak Performance, Nirvana, Flow, Zen, Extraordinary
Human Experiences, Out of Body Experience, In The Moment, Samadhi, Falling
In Love, Cognitive Experience.
The purpose of empowerment and motivational training
is to give you an ascension experience. When you are ascended you have
the power to push through what was stopping you when you were not ascended.
However, the ascension often doesn't last very
long. Have you ever been to a motivational seminar or had some experience
in your life that made you feel pumped up? It could also be drug or
alcohol induced, or even a near death experience or an extreme sport.
You felt huge and powerful, like you could take on the world.
Days, weeks, maybe even months later you found
yourself shrunken back into your old behavior patterns. The big goal
you were so sure of reaching has become a distant memory. What happened?
What is this rollercoaster? And can you stay at the top?
What happened was that you entered the Ascension
Loop. In this loop, you ascend and crash continuosly. The reason for
this is an Ascension activates hidden mechanisms. These mechainisms
are designed to automatically bring you back to your 'normal' operating
level. Unless you are aware of these mechanisms and consciously take
them apart, they will always be acting against you. This is not to say
that you can't stay ascended without handling them. You can ascend but
you will need to use a large part of your power to suppress and control
what these mechanisms activate.
Fear of Power
These activations most frequently take the form
of an attack on your power. Sometimes this attack is obvious, but most
often the attack seems so natural that don't even realise you are being
attacked. To maintain your ascension state you start to misuse or abuse
your power to achieve your goal despite the opposition. . Worldcom and
Enron are perfect examples of this. Bill Clinton is another good example
of this phenomena.
"People fear power. They want the power,
but they're scared of it" - Alan C. Walter
It is becoming increasingly obvious that power
has acquired a stigma. Those with the power want to keep it. Those without
the power attacke those with power and resent the power.
This ascension / crash loop has baffled self improvement
and transformational trainers for decades. It seems however that they
have chosen to ignore it. They produce ascension experiences in their
seminars and send the unsuspecting public on their way without the tools
or awareness to handle the crash mechanisms that are activated.
A client attended a five day training in Hawaii
with a top motivational guru. My client told me that near the end of
the fifth day the seminar leader delivered the final motivational speech.
With an awareness of the ascension state, my client was able to spot
what was going on. The seminar leader was firing them up to go out there
and do it. My client told me that he came out of there flying like a
kite. He was massively inspired and motivated. He added "I crashed
so hard from that ascension. It took me months to recover!"
